Warren W. Hull, 102, of Oskaloosa, died Thursday, February 9, 2012, at the Mahaska Health Partnership Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa. He was born June 22, 1909, at Keokuk, the son of William and Sara Russel Hull. He graduated from the Keokuk High School and then attended the University of Iowa. He was united in marriage to Iva G. Sullivan in Keokuk, she died in 1997. Early on he worked in sales. During WWII he worked at an ammunitions plant in St. Louis. He then went to work as a refrigeration engineer. Lastly he worked as a real estate agent. He lived most of his life in St. Louis and Oskaloosa, and later years in Florida. In 2007 he moved from Florida to Maple Ridge in Oskaloosa. He loved to play golf.
His family includes his two children: Sally (& Bob) Miller of Oskaloosa and William (& Barbara) Hull of Lake Forest California; 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law: Garry Lewis; a granddaughter: Kara Thomas; and two brothers: Raymond Hull and John "Jack" Hull.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 12, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa with Marvin Knoot officiating. Private burial will be at the Oakland Cemetery at Keokuk. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will open on Sunday after 11 a.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa and the family will be at the funeral chapel from 11 a.m. until service time at 1:30 to greet friends and relatives. Memorials may be made to the MHP Serenity House or Maple Ridge.
